Our Ministry Action Team is the spiritual and program side of leadership at Unity Center of Peace.  The team functions to support the Ministers in growing this community and supporting our members spiritually.   This is who we are...

Rev. Victoria Loveland-Coen

Victoria Loveland-Coen is an author, Spiritual Coach, Interfaith Minister and mother of twins.  She has been a student of New Thought/Ancient Wisdom for over 35 years, along with being a long-time meditator, and a graduate from Agape’s Practitioner Program under Rev. Michael Bernard Beckwith.  She offers support in the practice of proactive gratitude through her blog The Gratitude Experiment (www.gratitudexp.com) as well as the Gratitude Experiment page on Facebook.  Her popular workshop, Conscious Co-Creating, is now available, complete with a Facilitator’s Guide, to spiritually-focused study groups everywhere.  Victoria is happy to be serving Unity Center of Peace in Chapel Hill, as co-Minister.

Rev. Rosemary Hyde

As a long-time student of Unity and now an ordained interfaith minister, I deeply appreciate the opportunity to participate in and help lead the vibrant, loving community that is Unity Center of Peace. I am excited about the rising energy in our community, and am looking forward to helping to build a deeply caring spiritual family that welcomes diversity and bubbles with joyful service. I anticipate wonderful opportunities to bask in Spirit and to celebrate seasons and passages of earthly and human life. I also envision with great pleasure our growth as a center both for Unity spirituality and for One Spirit Interspiritual learning opportunities. In addition to my work with Unity Center of Peace, I am also serving as senior minister of One Spirit Ministries, the online interspiritual prayer and pastoral outreach arm of One Spirit Learning Alliance in New York.

Gregory Louie

The third student of One Spirit Learning Alliance on our ministry team, Gregory serves as the Director of Youth Education.  A long time educator, he is also a practitioner of non-violent communication, empathetic listening and organizational development through dynamic facilitation.  As a young student of the martial arts, he was challenged by his master to study meditation from all cultures & traditions.and choose a practice to incorporate into his life.   He bows to his master's wisdom with deep gratitude.  If you catch him beaming, it's because Spirit is filling him with Divine Love. Wahoo!  What a great gift!  Thank you, God!

Chris Egle

Having studied with shamans and healers in North and Central America, Chris has a very deep connection and appreciation for that which goes unseen in most people’s lives.  The natural abundance of the world continuously amazes him.  A joyier at heart, Chris seeks to brighten his life as well as any who cross paths with him through listening, insight, humor, and artistic expression.

Mary Wiley

"Mary has been a New Thought student since the early 90's and came to UCP in 2008.  She has served our community in many ways since, including Board member, Treasurer and one of the founding members of the Ministry Action Team.  She loves connecting with the variety of individuals who seek a higher understanding of the Truth principles taught at UCP."

Marilyn Grubbs

Marilyn Grubbs has been an active member of UCP since 1999. She has served as a Board member, choir director, and co-music director, as well as singing as a soloist and choir member. Currently she is a member of the Care Team and the Music Team in addition to the MAT. She sings with Jewelsong, a spiritually-focused quartet of women who perform regularly at UCP as well as in other spiritual and community settings. Professionally, she is a psychotherapist with a private practice in Carrboro. She uses mindfulness and meditation as tools in her work with clients as well as in her personal and spiritual growth.

Lorraine Lewis

Lorraine joined UCP in 1992 and has been an active member ever since.  She enjoys coordinating the Prayer Team, facilitating a weekly Monday evening meditation/prayer circle, and participating in Unity's monthly healing service.  She loves meditation, affirmative prayer, energy healing, Trager(R) bodywork, and HeartMath(TM).  Lorraine is trained in all of these areas and is delighted to share what she does for the benefit of others.  She loves the outdoors, playing tennis, and playing with her precious kitties.  She's happy to be a part of a community with a vision of Divine Light Awakening in All!"
