What a blessing it is that we can all grow and evolve over time. If you've been on a spiritual path for a while, your self-concept changes. You begin to release old views of yourself as unworthy or limited, so that you can embrace a more empowered sense of self. The same can happen with our relationship with prosperity. We can transform our old relationship with prosperity -- one that might be causing an imbalance -- and instead welcome the natural flow of abundance. Join Rev. Victoria this Sunday as we celebrate the abundant harvest that is waiting for us to step into.
Also, as part of this Sunday's service we will have our Intentional Giving Ceremony. Rev. Victoria will guide you in a meditation centered on gratitude and generosity, and then bless your Intentional Giving Card. So plan to bring your card to the service (but don't worry if you forget it, our Board Host will be there to hand you one.) We will receive all the cards in a sacred bowl, and everyone will be invited to participate in our "chocolate communion."
Join us after the service for our annual Volunteer Appreciation Celebration accompanied by a Thanksgiving Potluck!

Last week Rev. Victoria reminded us that we Divinely-human beings like a little bit of drama to keep things interesting. And perhaps these dramas, wrapped in challenges, are there to help us open our hearts. When it gets overwhelming though, it's time for some serious self-care. This Sunday we'll look at ways we can honor our human feelings while staying connected and listening for what is ours to do.

Last Sunday we explored this idea of walking through any challenges we may be facing from the awareness of our Spiritual Truth. This Sunday we will explore that idea on a more universal level. If what we say is true that "what we focus on and give our energy to expands and multiplies", then let's embrace a vision for a country that reflects what we love about our spiritual community. You will be invited to share your highest vision, and together we will create a vision board for our country.

Once again it is time to celebrate that quintessential American holiday of Halloween. The fun ritual of "trick-or-treat" reminds us that there is a choice. Most of us would choose the treat. But just like children, we sometimes have to walk through a landscape of "tricks", or human challenges, in order to get the treat. But maybe those challenges serve an important purpose.
This Sunday Rev. Victoria will share how to call forth specific Divine qualities in order to walk through the challenge gracefully, and get to the other side where the "goodies" like love, joy, peace, wisdom, strength and wellbeing are waiting for us.
Also, in recognition of Day of the Dead, UCP Community members are invited to bring a framed photo of a special loved one who has passed. We will create a simple altar, or "ofrenda" on our platform decorated with marigolds. At this time when the veil between this world and the beyond is thin, let's join together and let our beloved ones know how cherished they still are.
After the service we will once again host a joyful event: Trunk or Treat!

This Sunday we will honor Indigenous People's Day by exploring their profound spiritual view of the world and how that translates into the respect with which they treat Mother Earth. We'll look at their central practice of gratitude and how it uplifts life and acknowledges the sacred within all. Then, you'll be invited to participate in a practice led by our very own "Keeper of the Sun Bear Medicine Wheel" Gaines Steer.

Does Social Justice inspire you? Are you troubled about the lack of love and heart in our world? Here is how Unity co-founder Charles Fillmore defines Social Justice:
“When judgment is divorced from love there goes forth the human cry for justice. When Justice and Love meet at the heart center, there are balance, poise, and righteousness.”
Want to get involved, the Unity way? This Sunday, Pat Webster will inspire and invite you to participate in an amazing Social Justice project at Unity Center Peace. Show up, and tune in!
