This week we will continue our forward intentional movement that began with our White Stone service, and the guiding word, or idea, for 2024 that our Inner Wisdom revealed to us. We will honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the power he had to awaken the dream within us - a dream for our country, and for our individual lives. Together we will embrace the vision that is seeking to emerge from within us, and, as Rev. Michael Beckwith always says, "Allow yourself to be pulled by your vision rather than pushed by the pain." This is true for us both on an individual level and collectively as we help create a world that works for everyone.

Now that we have released what was holding us back in our Burning Bowl service last week, we have created space for new possibilities of good to grow. It's now time to listen to our Inner Wisdom that will guide us in our growth this year. We will do this together in our White Stone Service. You will walk away with a tangible, visual guide that will provide focus as you move forward into the new year intentionally, creating what you truly want.

Many indigenous cultures know the power of fire to transform our physical, as well as our spiritual, environment. This Sunday we will consciously participate in this ritual as part of our annual Burning Bowl service as together we release those events, problems, beliefs, energies, and ways of being that are holding us back from growing into our full potential. By doing this ritual in a group setting we are giving our body, mind and spirit a definite signal that we are ready to release the old and move forward in our lives more intentionally and powerfully.

As we move forward into our Advent season, we come this week upon the theme of Love. At our core we know we are that Universal Divine Love in individual expression. But sometimes that idea is so abstract, we have trouble connecting with it. How can we bring that concept down into our human day-to-day experience? How can we anchor ourselves in this Universal Love while we're trudging through a challenging time?
Join Rev. Victoria this Sunday to learn how to create a bridge from our very human self to our Infinite Self and embody that transcendent Love.

This Winter time of long nights, more darkness, the approaching Solstice, and Advent is deep, dark, and sometimes challenging. It is a time of inner waiting, inner anticipation for the time of Light. It can be a time when, like the trees, our “sap,” our life energy is down into the sacred darkness, the sacred silence.
This Sunday, we will look at our inner journey to Bethlehem, to the birth of the new, the innocent, in ourselves.

Our theme for this month is Peace. Looking at the world today, we can get discouraged and feel that all our prayers for peace are not being answered. But are we expecting some "supernatural" power to descend on earth and deliver us peace? Or is the realization of peace on earth the natural result of our ability to be at peace within ourselves? This Sunday we'll explore what part we play and how we can cultivate more inner peace, and ensure our actions reflect that experience of peace.

How blessed we are to be in a spiritual community where we are reminded of who we truly are, and how to connect with our Divine Self in order to create more love, joy and abundance in our lives. What a blessing to be surrounded by others who practice gratitude, generosity and loving-kindness. We have created something very special here. And this Sunday we are celebrating this by pledging together to help this community flourish. We will all participate in our Intentional Giving Ceremony (which might involve chocolate!), so please bring your green Intentional Giving cards, and let's see what else we can create together next year!

Being at one with the infinite, Divine ultimate reality is not the mysterious domain of saints, monks and devotees. We can experience unitive consciousness more and more often as part of our ordinary reality. Many in our community experience these states of consciousness within our Outdoor Sacred Spaces. Come and explore what’s possible right in the backyard of UCP.
