NOVEMBER 26- DECEMBER 21 AT 1PM
Christmas is the perfect time to remember those who may be struggling and share some of our abundant love with them.
Every year, our community partners with Rishi Salon in Southern Village to provide Christmas gifts for the children and women living at Homestart -- a safe shelter for those who are fleeing abuse. Homestart is part of IFC's communities, which our community contributes to in general throughout the year. We have a tree adorned with paper ornaments that feature one of these children or their mothers, and their wish for Christmas. You are encouraged to take an ornament, purchase the "wish" and bring it back wrapped (clearly marked with the number of the recipient). Let's help to make their Christmas a special one and shower them with some UCP love.
TREE TRIMMING HOLIDAY PARTY
SATURDAY, DEC 2 AT 5PM
You’re invited to begin the season with a potluck-tree-trimming-dance party. Come dressed in your most festive and comfortable holiday outfit and dancing shoes! Think green and red, silver bells, elf shoes, glitter, antlers ...whatever sparks holiday joy for you! Kids activities, Christmas trivia and photo booth will be offered for kids and kids at heart.
Please bring potluck finger food and once the tree is decorated, we will dance in the Spirit of the Holiday!
HOLIDAY COOKIE EXCHANGE
SUNDAY, DEC 10 AT 12:15PM
Do you have a favorite holiday cookie recipe? Do you have a recipe that has been passed down for generations? Is there a story behind that maybe? If so, you are invited to bake and bring your favorite cookies on December 10th to the Sunday service and during our Sacred Cafe we will do a "cookie exchange".
Share your story, share your yummy cookies, and let's have some fun!
NATURE BASED PRACTICES FOR MODERN MYSTICS AND WINTER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 21 AT 7:00PM
Let's get together and celebrate the Winter Solstice at Unity Center of Peace. We'll meet on the back deck at 7:00pm on December 21st and gather around a fire. You are invited to bring a poem, song, or share a story that represents this sacred time of year.
This is a perfect opportunity to open to the wonder of the natural world together, and truly feel our connection with Mother Earth.
CHRISTMAS EVE CANDLELIGHT SERVICE
SUNDAY, DEC 24 AT 7PM
This year's Christmas Eve service will be held in-person in our lovely sanctuary at 7pm! We'll sing traditional songs of the season and participate in our 12 Power readings. At the end of the evening we will experience a special candle-lighting ceremony together. The service will also be livestreamed to Facebook and YouTube for those who want to enjoy from home. So, please join us for our Christmas Eve Candlelight service, our biggest holiday event of the year! We will be closed on Christmas Day. Happy Holidays to all!

BURNING BOWL CEREMONY
SUNDAY, DEC 31 AT 11AM
Unity Center of Peace will be offering our annual Burning Bowl Ceremony on New Year’s Eve this year at 11:00am. The Burning Bowl Ceremony gives people an opportunity to release anything that is holding them back from living fully. Participants will be invited to write on a piece of paper any old ideas, old ways of being, or a collective experience they’d like to leave behind, and drop it into a collective fire.
The Burning Bowl service can be a very powerful and cleansing experience done together in a group and we all have something we want to leave behind as we move into the New Year, as well as a higher vision that wants to emerge instead. We hope you will join us for this very special ceremony on New Year's Eve, which makes the experience even more auspicious!

WHITE STONE SERVICE
SUNDAY, JAN 7 AT 11AM
On Sunday, January 7th, UCP will have it's yearly White Stone Ceremony that will allow everyone who attends the opportunity to embrace a new vision for the New Year which they will write on a white stone to keep as a guide throughout the year.
In Unity, this is the day when we set our intentions (similar to resolutions) for the new year. Through a guided meditation, we are invited to ask for guidance on what our word or words will be for the upcoming year. These words will represent our highest intention and may be in the form of a new name that will represent this emerging spiritual identity.
As we arrive at one or two words to represent what we want to see expressing in our experience or what we are ready to shift, we give thanks for this unique opportunity to start the New Year with a clean slate which the white stone represents.
