Rev. Rosemary, a lifelong spiritual pilgrim, is delighted to have found the beautiful spiritual community that is Unity Center of Peace.
Rosemary grew up Irish Catholic in Rhode Island, and entered the convent immediately after graduating from high school. Despite her love for things spiritual, she became aware that her spiritual path did not follow prescribed Catholic beliefs, and she finished college outside the convent.
After graduating, she received a Fulbright scholarship to study and teach in France. While there, she did Masters and doctoral work in psychology and linguistics. After returning to the U.S., she finished her doctorate in Psycholinguistics (Psychology of Communication) at St. Louis University. She lived in Missouri for 35 years, as a wife and mother, and also as professor and administrator at St. Louis Community College. She worked with area schools to create Service Learning programs that engaged students in serving poor communities for class credit. During those years, she also studied and practiced Unity principles and spirituality.
Since retiring from teaching, Rev. Rosemary has become an internationally certified homeopathic practitioner, and a Board certified chaplain and spiritual counselor. She has also fulfilled her lifelong calling to ministry by being ordained both as an Interfaith minister and as a Unity minister and teacher. Rev. Rosemary is delighted to serve as co-minister of Unity Center of Peace.
Since 2013, Rev. Rosemary and her present wife Nancy have visited Paris for one or two months each year. This réintroduction to French culture and language through teaching and serving non-religious younger Europeans led Rev. Rosemary to study the origins of Unity metaphysics in ancient wisdom and Greek philosophy.
In this process, she has learned how to teach and share metaphysics from a universally acceptable non-religious viewpoint. She has seen how people the world over share a similar thirst for spiritual experience and understanding, even while distancing themselves from church organizations.
From this path of universal desire , Rev. Rosemary is helping people from all belief systems to increase spiritual awareness around peace — inner peace, family peace, community and civil peace, universal planetary and cosmic peace, food and climate peace.
As a result of these converging interests and areas of study, she launched, in January 2020, a global metaphysical peace initiative.
It Is creating an online spiritual resource center where participants learn insights about quantum connectedness while experiencing it through new communications technologies.
It is helping small groups of like-minded people everywhere to deepen their peace consciousness and have fun getting to know each other By sharing peace-promoting activities.
This initiative, called LivingPeaceNow.Org, is now live on the Internet, and you are invited to enrich your life by participating with other Unity Center of Peace members and international Peacemakers who are making a difference in the world and reducing stress for themselves and others.
