Sun Bear Medicine Wheel Ceremony

R. Gaines Steer, M.Ed., writer/storyteller, and one of the original creators of the UCP Medicine Wheel, will lead us in a personal growth ceremony introducing indigenous teachings inspired by Sun Bear, Chippewa Medicine Man (@BearTribe). Sun Bear's seminal vision was one in which he gained "Indian permission" to teach the sacred teachings of the Sweat Lodge to non-natives.

We will meet on the UCP back deck where we can dress in costume from a grab bag of colored rags that Gaines is bringing. Dress for the weather, and feel free to come already dressed in costume if you like. 

This event is for adults. $10 minimum suggested love offering supports Unity Center of Peace, Chapel Hill, which generously provides our gathering space and programs with the Outdoor Sacred Spaces.
