DESCRIPTION:Lammas\, also Lughnasadh\, is celebrated as the “harvest of the
  first fruits.” The midway point between the Summer Solstice and Autumnal 
 Equinox\, Lammas (“Loaves Mass”) is a time of gratitude for the grains\, c
 orn\, berries\, and other foods ripening at this time. The Celtic God Lugh
 \, whose name means ‘shining one\,’ represents this time of Light and Sun’
 s bounty. His foster mother\, Tailtiu\, is said to have invented the culti
 vation of foods and farming for humans. Lughnasadh celebrates Tailtiu’s gi
 fts with games and feasting.\nJoin us as we make “corn dollies” to acknowl
 edge these gifts of first fruits while the Sun is still strong\, and gathe
 r outside around a fire for the Full Moon of Lammas. We’ll also have a gra
 titude give-away – bring an item (spiritual or artistic) you no longer wan
 t\, and take one home you do! Also bring what you need to be comfortable o
