In our fast-paced world, it's easy to neglect the maintenance of our spiritual lives. Just as we regularly update our devices for optimal performance, our spiritual lives also need regular reflection and rejuvenation. This Sunday we will explore how we can refresh our faith and deepen our connection with the Divine in each other.

This Sunday Rev. Victoria will go into depth on one of the ideas briefly touched on during the Easter service - how to develop the ability to see, and experience, the transcendent, infinite realm that lies behind this 3-dimensional world. Doing so will open the door of our consciousness and, as Rev. Micheal Beckwith says, "we become fully franchised co-creators of our individual and collective human destiny."

We are continuing our journey in Nonviolent Communication this week with a brief review of what we've learned so far. And, this Sunday we'll explore the 4th step in the process, which is making requests and listening empathically. When we learn to do this, we are honoring the Life that is within us, and within others.
And Rev. Victoria has a little surprise in store for us that will help demonstrate these ideas.

We are continuing our exploration of Nonviolent Communication. This week our focus is on feelings. Because we grow up in a culture that discourages us from experiencing our feelings fully, we often confuse feeling with what we're thinking, or our opinion of things. When we learn the language of NVC we begin to identify specific feelings, and when we communicate our feelings with an open heart to others, it creates connection. Secondly, while others can stimulate the feelings within us, no one can cause us to feel a certain way. Our feelings stem from our needs either being met or not met. We'll explore these needs that are universal in nature.

This week we will be continuing our journey of understanding and learning how to use the tools of nonviolent communication. We are learning a new language that helps shift the way we think about our relationships, and to embrace a more compassionate view of ourselves and others. Rev Victoria will share how the idea of "observation without evaluation" contains themes that echo many Eastern traditions.

This week we begin our exploration of NVC, or NonViolent Communication based on the book by Marshall Rosenberg. This week we're looking at how we are, by nature, loving, compassionate people because we are all expressions of the same One Divine Love. When our relationships don't reflect that, then something has gotten in the way. Something has disconnected us from our natural way of being. We'll begin to explore what that might be and, more importantly, how to return to our innate nature of love...and inspire others to return to theirs!

In Unity, we embrace the idea that we navigate our human lives from the Divine within each of us. The Jewish word, "Tikkun Olam" means just that: As Divine Love, we perform acts, small or large, that help to repair the world. In this way, we experience our Spiritual Magnificence and empower others to do the same.
Affirmation: From Divine Love, I Participate in Repairing the World.
