Spiritual Education

MISSION:

We support our congregants in deepening their experience of the Divine Truth within and in awakening to their power as co-creators with Spirit. 


SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:    

  • Organize and/or lead book studies groups
  • Help with Spiritual Enrichment and Education classes 
  • Spiritual Enrichment Week (several opportunities)
  • Other spiritual classes, trainings or workshops
  • Help promote classes via social media and flyer distribution,
  • Facilitate a Sunday for Deeper Dive Discussion Group (Sunday’s after service discussion) (training available and recommended)

Services and Events

SUNDAY SERVICE MISSION:

To help create more vibrant, empowering and inspiring Sunday Services that invite life-changing encounters with Spirit.


SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Check that all is set up properly and looking inviting in the Sanctuary
  • Provide fresh flowers
  • Work with the Minister to plan for and assist at special services, such as:
    • Holidays
    • World Day of Prayer


MUSIC AND SPECIAL EVENTS MISSION:

We engage the community in compelling music and captivating special events that enhance opportunities for joy and connection.


SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Participate in the band or instrumental ensemble
  • Participate in a choir
  • Coordinate, promote, and/or assist with Special Events, such as:
    • Concerts by guest musicians

Prayer Team

MISSION:

Trained in transformational affirmative prayer, our prayer partners hold congregant’s prayer requests from the highest spiritual perspective while maintaining each request in confidence.

 

SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Joining the Prayer Team
    • Prerequisite include Unity Prayer class (Prayer Partner requires Unity Prayer class and Prayer Chaplain training. Scheduled for October 2024)
    • Opportunities for serving as Prayer Team members who pray over incoming requests from email or Prayer Box
    • Opportunities for being a Prayer Partner for 3-Minute Miracle and Sunday morning prayer from the platform.

Outdoor Sacred Spaces

MISSION:
We gather to deepen our connection with nature, ourselves, and all our relations. We experience the peace and tranquility of the Unity Center of Peace (UCP) Outdoor Sacred Spaces through solo time, ceremony and being in circle together, led by group members and facilitated with Rev. Dr. Chris Nygren.

 

SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:

  • Outdoor Sacred Spaces Ministry
  • Firekeeper
  • Lightkeeper - placing and collecting outdoor lighting
  • Sacred Outdoor Practice or Ceremony Facilitator – all wisdom traditions welcome
  • Music
  • Drumming
  • Welcoming Guests (UCP Ambassador) 
  • Preparing the Spaces Before Gatherings
  • Cleaning up After Gatherings
  • Helping maintain the Medicine Wheel, Labyrinth, Serenity Trail and Sacred
  • Gathering Stump
  • Tending the Serenity Trail Stations
  • Tending the Sacred Piles of Stones
