Join us for a sacred observance of Unity’s annual World Day of Prayer, as we join hearts with people around the globe in prayerful consciousness for peace, healing, love, and a greater awareness of the Divine presence within us all.
This year’s theme, “All You Need Is Love,” invites us to remember a simple yet profound truth: love is at the heart of our spiritual journey and has the power to transform the way we experience ourselves, one another, and our world.
Love calls us beyond fear and separation and back into the awareness of our shared Divine nature. As we become still and open our hearts, we make room for compassion, forgiveness, understanding, and peace. On this special day, we will consciously allow love to move through us—not simply as an idea or feeling, but as a sacred presence we can embody and extend to the world.

A Day of Prayer — 7:00am–7:00pm
On September 10, World Day of Prayer, we will begin the day with an all-day, 12-hour prayer vigil from 7:00am to 7:00pm.
You are invited to participate for a 30-minute or one-hour time slot, either in our sanctuary, which will be specially prepared as a sacred space for prayer and contemplation, or from the comfort of your own home. You may use this time in whatever way feels meaningful to you—through meditation, silent prayer, affirmations, or simply resting in the awareness of Divine Love.

In the days leading up to our 12-hour prayer vigil, we will also be collecting the names of those whom you wish to hold in prayer. You may submit names online, or, if you are attending Unity Center of Peace, use the prayer request slips located on the World Day of Prayer board in the foyer. Simply complete a slip and place it in the prayer box on the credenza.

7:00pm Evening World Day of Prayer Service
Then, as our day of prayer comes to a close, join us at 7:00pm in our beautiful sanctuary for a special World Day of Prayer evening service.
After spending the day in prayer—whether here in the sanctuary or from home—we will gather together in community to celebrate the transforming power of Divine Love. The evening service will provide a sacred space to pause, breathe, reflect, and open our hearts to the love that connects us all.
Through music, meditation, sacred readings, prayer, and shared intention, we will weave together the many prayers offered throughout the day. We will hold in our hearts the people whose names have been placed on our Sacred Altar, and all those throughout the world who are longing for healing, peace, connection, and hope.
We will also take time to consciously send our love beyond the walls of our sanctuary—to our families and communities, to those experiencing hardship or uncertainty, and to our beautiful and often troubled world. Together, we can create a powerful field of loving intention, remembering that every act of love, compassion, and kindness contributes to the healing of our collective consciousness.
Whether you have participated in the prayer vigil for an hour, joined from home, submitted a prayer request, or are simply discovering World Day of Prayer for the first time, you are warmly invited to join us for this special evening gathering.
