Carla Glass has been on a path of finding that next thing that resonates with her as spiritual truth for about 50 years. During this time, in addition to simply listening to the guidance of her Higher Self, she has read books by, and listened to presentations by, a wide variety of spiritual thinkers and leaders. More closely related to UCP, she attended Unity in Atlanta (long ago) and in Dallas. In Dallas, she later regularly attended the Dallas Center for Spiritual Living (CSL) and, before moving away, took most of the courses to become a spiritual coach and provide what they call Spiritual Mind Treatment, similar to what Unity calls Affirmative Prayer. When she first moved to North Carolina in late 2023, she visited UCP and felt an instant belonging.
After getting an undergraduate degree in Psychology, Carla later received a Masters in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from the University of Houston. She thoroughly enjoyed an approximately 50-year career in business valuation (a sort of financial analysis), especially the part involving training and encouraging the younger people. She recently, joyfully, retired. During her career, she served in various leadership positions in her national professional organization. Also, in recent years, she served on the finance team at the Dallas Center for Spiritual Living and on the board of the Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven (Connecticut, that is).
Carla’s interest in serving on the board of UCP is to, hopefully, contribute to the continued vibrancy of UCP by being part of a group of inspired and inspirational, varied, and committed board members.
