Rumi once said: "If everything looks dark around you, look again. You may be the light." An inspiring revelation. But how do we realize that? How do we activate the light that we are so that it cuts through the thickness of our collective human experience? This Sunday Rev. Victoria shares an insight that occurred at a recent mountain retreat that will help us turn on our inner light and radiate it into the night.

This message invites us to engage the spiritual tools already within reach as instruments of transformation. Forging the new self is not about escape or invention, but about shaping raw being into awakened form—refining thought, intention, and action until they mirror the divine pattern seeded within. It is the disciplined art of turning inner potential into embodied reality.

As we continue to explore our true nature and the wellbeing that is inherent within us, as part of our "From Seeker to Finder" series, Rev. Victoria will begin by opening it up for you to share how you nurture your wellbeing. Then, we'll look at one of the major obstacles to having "fundamental wellbeing" and how we can move through it so we can live from a place of inner peace, pure joy and the experience of wholeness.

Not everyone has the curiosity, insight and, frankly courage, to embark on a spiritual path. Those of us who seek more inner peace, more connection with the Divine, harmony and guidance, a realization of our heart's desires, and freedom from the barrage of negative thoughts, self-judgment or feelings of inadequacy, are motivated to break free from the crowd and investigate what else is possible. As we dive into a spiritual path, learn and practice spiritual principles, we begin to experience these qualities we were seeking, and others we didn't even know were possible. At some point we transition from being a "seeker" to being a "finder." This Sunday Rev. Victoria will share possible characteristics of a Finder and how we can begin to move in that direction.

Join us this Sunday as we explore the deep truth of our interconnectedness. Drawing from Native American and Vedic creation stories, Rev. Victoria will share the timeless wisdom of the “web of life”—a sacred reminder that we are part of an infinite network of being. Through story, reflection, and practical insights, we’ll discover how every thought, word, and action ripples through the great web, shaping the world around us. When we remember our place in this vast interconnected whole, fear and isolation dissolve, giving way to peace, compassion, and joy. We'll learn to live more consciously, weave love into the world, and experience the Divine Presence at the center of it all.

One of the best things about traveling to different lands is that it changes us – we become more open to understanding different ways of living, different ways of thinking. That’s a good thing because we can get stuck in our comfortable little boxes, thinking the same thoughts over and over. This Sunday Rev. Victoria shares how we can open to different ways of being and connect with others who we might be tempted to turn away from. As we practice this, we break down walls of division and create more peace in our hearts, and in the world.

In order to expand our souls we choose our families before birth. Our family, whether an easy and fun one, or a challenging one, serves a sacred purpose in our earthly soul journey. Our soul's greatest desire is to expand its energy, through our human growth and learning, and through helping others as well. Where and how does Spirit come in? We will explore these topics and their relationship with one another in this Sunday's message.

Our beliefs play an important role in the choices we make everyday. But perhaps more important than the beliefs we can say out loud (“I believe that this is true and that is wrong”) are the beliefs that we aren’t even aware of. Though hidden away in our unconscious, these beliefs decide how we live our lives, and we cannot question or change them unless we bring them into our awareness. This week, Nathan will share some of his journey in questioning beliefs about Time. From schedules and routines, to how we approach history, to how we conceive of our own short lifespans - time is all around us, but perhaps limiting our imagination of what life can be. Join us this Sunday as we hope to expand that imagination and bring about more of the beautiful life force that is seeking to manifest itself through you.
Brief Bio: Nathan is a fellow traveler on the spiritual journey. Most recently, his search for truth took him through a PhD in developmental psychology. He does research and teaching on how cultural systems shape identity and social development from childhood and beyond. He is also interested in historical perspectives on psychology and how we can blend knowledge from many areas into our understanding of life and the human spirit to help heal our lives and build compassionate, strong communities.

We bring to completion our journey of discovering the true source of our joy this Sunday by exploring those internal aspects that block our experience of happiness. We'll begin by asking if we feel it's somehow selfish to be joyful when there's so much suffering in the world. Are we refusing to look at the serious stuff that's happening in our world -- or in our life -- if we allow ourselves too much joy? How does the Dalai Lama reconcile his abundant joy in the face of having been exiled from his home country and witnessing the suffering of his people? As he, and other wise individuals attest, the more we connect with our own essence of joy, the more available we are to others.
